Linda Lutz

I am Sister Linda Lutz CHS, a member of the Community of the Holy Spirit. I moved into the area of St. John the Evangelist Parish in 1993. I have worked in Catholic Schools as a teacher and a principal. I ministered for 12 years with Catholic Charities Rachel Programs services for homeless women. Being with the students and families in schools was a joy but I also treasured my time with the women I met in the Rachel Programs whose lives are so very challenged. Currently I’m back in a school setting working as a school secretary at St. Kieran Catholic School in El Cajon. This ministry has many different kinds of opportunities to serve. I choose to be a member of St. John the Evangelist Parish because I love the diversity and the deep faith of the people who worship here. I treasure the welcoming spirit that St. John the Evangelist opens its door to all.

Juan Qui

I have been a resident of San Diego since 2003 and a member of St. John the Evangelist parish for the past five years, after moving to Hillcrest. I am the only one in my nuclear family living in the US, as my mother and siblings are in Mexico. I work as an independent contractor in Project Management, working with different IT corporate clients. For hobbies I like to workout and travel.

I have been a devout Catholic since birth and I value my Mother as my spiritual advisor. The core of my life is structured around my Catholic faith. We have been parishioners of St. John the Evangelist for the last 8 years. My volunteer services include Father Joe Villages and Catholic Charities and I serve as a Eucharistic minister and Lector of the Word. I love to spend time with all my grandchildren! I play tennis with Lolis, chess with Matthew, basketball with Isaiah, chasing the dogs and feeding the chicken with Eydie. Holding and kissing the twins.
